Changing language leaves this page. Selected files and undownloaded reports will be lost.
Find files with identical content
Byte-verify matches. You choose what to keep; this tool never deletes files.
Files are analyzed in this tab, without uploads or persistent storage. Leaving or clearing the page loses undownloaded reports.

Comparison results
The earliest selected source is kept by default. You can change the keeper in duplicate groups; choices only change the report.
No byte-identical files found. You can still download a list that keeps every file.
Reports include names, source indexes, sizes and SHA-256 hashes. Store them with care. Potential savings total the duplicate copies; this tool does not free disk space.

The preview shows name controls as escapes; downloads preserve original names. Local report files are created only when you choose download.

Common questions
Does the tool delete duplicates?
No. It creates a report; you decide what to do with the source files.
Do matching names count as duplicates?
No. Candidates are grouped by size and SHA-256, then compared byte for byte.
Can it find identical files with different names?
Yes. Names do not determine matches; the report uses selection indexes to distinguish them.
Are empty files ignored?
No. Empty files can form a duplicate group, though removing one saves zero bytes.
Are files uploaded?
No. The candidate analyzes files locally in the current tab. There are no accounts or background uploads. Downloaded reports are not cleared automatically.
